Which platforms and browsers are compatible with the Download Manager Browser Plugin?
The MediaNet Download Manager can be used on Microsoft Windows-based computers running at least Windows XP SP2 with web browsers Internet Explorer or Firefox (Chrome works but is officially unsupported), as well as on Apple Mac OSX-based computers running at least Tiger (10.4) and web browsers Safari or Firefox. (Firefox offers a smoother experience than Safari.) Due the continually changing world of Internet security, only the latest update version of these browsers is supported at a given time; the Download Manager expects that end users keep their machines and browsers up to date using (Window) Microsoft Update and/or (Mac) Software Update. The MP3 files you purchase will download to your computer and are compatible with any system that can read the MP3 music format. Regardless of your OS and browser combination, you may always choose to download your music via the Basic Downloader method.

Other Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the availability of some songs and albums different from the CD version?
The track listing of a digital album can be different from the album version originally released on CD.
For example, digital versions of an album can contain bonus tracks not previously available on the CD format. Our content partners (record companies…) control what tracks are made available on specific formats.
In some cases a particular song on a digital album cannot be purchased as an individual track, but is only available if you purchase the complete album. Content partners and rights holders set these restrictions based on artist relations or contractual reasons.

Why isn't music from my favorite recording artist available for download?
Our ability to offer music to you in MP3 format is limited by the rights granted to us by the record companies. Currently, not all record companies grant a license to sell their music for download in MP3 format.
We are constantly working to establish and improve our agreements with record companies. We do expand our large selection frequently and encourage you to check back for new additions to our product catalog.
