Biography

Asking Alexandria is a metalcore band from North Yorkshire, England, who formed in 2008 when lead guitarist, Ben Bruce got together with some old friends: Danny Worsnop on vocals, Cameron Liddell on guitar, Sam Bettley on bass, and James Cassells on drums. After formation the band began to play local gigs and tour the U.S. to expose American audiences to their music. The band decided to stay in Indiana, to record their debut album with producer Joey Sturgis. During this time the band were offered a record deal with Sumerian Records and released their debut album, “Stand Up and Scream” in 2009. The band then embarked on a more extensive tour of the states with bands such as Alesana, Enter Shikari, and The Bled and Evergreen Terrace, in an effort to break into American markets.

2010 saw the band tour yet again, including the festival circuit, and begin work on their second album, “Reckless & Relentless.” A new song off the upcoming album emerged in 2010 while on tour called “Breathless,” which met with positive responses from their fans. 2011 saw the music video for “Closure,” the first “official” single off “Reckless & Relentless.” A second video followed later that year for the single, “To the Stage.”
