Travis Porter


Travis Porter is an American hip hop act from Decatur, Georgia. The trio consists of Lakeem “Ali” Mattox, Donquez “Quez” Woods, and Harold “Strap” Duncan. Ali and Quez are stepbrothers and the two met Strap while attending the same middle school. The three grew up together and began exploring music together in 2006. The group started out as the “Hard Hitters,” but changed their name to Travis Porter in late 2008.

The have released several mixtapes dating back to 2009’s “Who Is Travis Porter.” Their most recent mixtape, “Music, Money, Magnums” was released in 2011.

Their debut single “Go Shorty Go” which was featured on their mixtape “Streets R’ Us” reached #54 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop chart. In late 2010, their track “Make it Rain” from the mixtape “I Am Travis Porter” hit #50 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart and entered the Hot 100 Singles chart at #93. Their 2011 single, “Bring It Back” featuring Too $hort, from the “Music, Money, Magnums” mixtape went to #23 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart as well as peaking at #88 on the Hot 100.
