My Chemical Romance is an American rock band from New Jersey, formed in 2001. The band consists of lead vocalist Gerard Way, guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero, and bassist Mikey Way.
Shortly after forming, the band signed to Eyeball Records and released its first album, “I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love,” in 2002.
The band signed with Reprise Records the next year and released its major label debut, “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge,” in 2004. The album peaked at #28 on the U.S. Billboard 200 Albums chart and has been certified platinum by the RIAA. The singles "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)," "The Ghost of You" and "Helena" were all Top 20 hits on the Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart.
In 2006 the band released “The Black Parade,” its third studio album, which debuted at #2 on both the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by the RIAA. The album featured the Top 20 Hot Modern Rock Tracks singles, "Welcome to the Black Parade," "Famous Last Words" and "Teenagers." The limited edition boxed set also earned My Chemical Romance a Grammy nomination.
The band's fourth studio album, “Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys,” was released in 2010. The album reached #8 on the Billboard 200, while also reaching #1 on the Alternative Albums and Rock Albums charts. "Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)" was released in 2010 as the album’s first single, reaching #10 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. The second single, “Sing” peaked at #2 on the Alternative Songs chart and #4 on the Rock Songs chart.
