Biography

Xtreme is a Bachata music group with pop and R&B leanings that formed in 2003 and consists of Danny Mejia and Steven Tejada. Mejia and Tejada are both of Dominican descent living in the U.S. The duo got their start when New York music producers, George Zamora and Sergio George auditioned a number of hopeful musicians to be part of the group. Xtreme's debut album, “Xtreme,” was released in 2004 and peaked #14 on the Billboard Latin Albums chart.

“Haciendo Historia,” the group's second album, was released in late 2006 and peaked at #13 on the Billboard Latin Albums chart. Their single “Shorty Shorty” peaked at #1 on the Billboard Latin Tropical Airplay chart and #2 on the Hot Latin Tracks chart. Xtreme's third album, “Chapter Dos,” arrived in 2008, and produced the hit single, “Lloro y Lloro.”
