Boys Like Girls

Boys Like Girls is an American pop punk band from Andover, Massachusetts, formed in 2005.

Boys Like Girls released their self-titled debut album in August 2006. During the first weeks of sales, the album didn't sell too well, only reaching the lower half of the Billboard 200 Albums chart. Their first single, “Hero/Heroine,” peaked at #43 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, but it was their second single, “The Great Escape,” that brought the album sales up. With the single climbing the Top 40 of the Hot 100, the album managed to re-enter and peak at #55 on the Billboard 200. Within weeks of the re-entry, the album was certified gold by the RIAA.

Their second album, “Love Drunk,” was released in September 2009 and peaked at #8 on the Billboard 200. It also debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart. The album’s title track and lead-off single reached #22 on the Hot 100, giving them their second Top 40 on that chart. A digital single, “She's Got a Boyfriend Now,” reached #9 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100. The album’s official second single, “Two Is Better Than One,” featured country pop artist Taylor Swift. It became their third Top 40 single on the Hot 100.

In 2012, Boys Like Girls issued a new full-length studio album, titled “Crazy World.”
