Fifth Harmony

Biography

Fifth Harmony is an American girl group formed in 2012, consisting of members Camila Cabello, Normani Kordei Hamilton, Lauren Jauregui, Allyson Brooke Hernandez and Dinah Jane Hansen. They were formed as a band on the second season of “The X Factor,” and finished in third place. Following their success, they signed to Simon Cowell's record label Syco Records and L.A. Reid's record label Epic Records, in a joint deal.

While in the studio recording their debut album, the group also recorded and released on YouTube several notable cover songs, including “Thinkin Bout You” by Frank Ocean, “American” by Lana Del Rey, “Lego House” by Ed Sheeran, “Stay"” by Rihanna featuring Mikky Ekko and “Red” by Taylor Swift.

Fifth Harmony was also featured on Boyce Avenue's 2013 EP, “Cover Collaborations, Volume 2,” singing covers of “Mirrors” by Justin Timberlake and “When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars. Both covers were highly successful, accumulating millions of views on YouTube.

The lead single from Fifth Harmony's upcoming debut album, “Miss Movin' On,” was issued in July 2013. “Miss Movin' On” debuted at #85 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart during the single's first week of release, making Fifth Harmony the first X Factor U.S. alumnae to chart on the Hot 100.
