Biography

Migos is an American hip-hop group from Gwinnett County, Georgia. The trio consists of Quavo (Quavious Marshall), Takeoff (Kirshnik Ball) and Offset (Kiari Cephus). Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle and Offset is Quavo's cousin.

They issued the mixtapes “Juug Season,” in 2011 and “No Label,” in 2012. Their 2013 mixtape, “Y.R.N. (Young Rich Niggas),” reached #41 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. The mixtape featured guest appearances from rappers Gucci Mane, Trinidad Jame$, Riff Raff and Soulja Boy. It included the single “Versace,” which reached #99 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, #31 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and #23 on the Hot Rap Songs chart.

They paired with Rich the Kid for a pair of mixtapes later in 2013, “Streets on Lock” and “Streets on Lock 2.” In early 2014 two new mixtapes, “Solid Foundation” and “No Label 2” were released. “No Label 2” reached #25 on the Billboard Rap Albums Chart and #4 on the Heatseekers albums chart. It featured production by Zaytoven, Metro Boomin,TM88 and Da Honorable CNOTE, among others, and guest appearances by Meek Mill, Rich Homie Quan and MGK.

“Streets on Lock 3,” their third collaboration with Rich the Kid, followed in 2014.
