WATERS is the musical project of former Port O’Brien frontman Van Pierszalowski.
After Port O’Brien disbanded in early 2010, Pierszalowski retreated to Oslo, Norway. He began writing new material, later moving to Alaska and California before settling in Brooklyn, New York.
Pierszalowski returned to Oslo and, backed by a Norwegian band, began rehearsing new material. The band, dubbed WATERS, then went with Pierszalowski to Dallas, Texas to record. Their debut album, “Out in the Light” was produced by John Congleton and released in 2011 on City Slang in the U.K. and Europe, and on tbd Records in the United States.
