Emma Rose Roberts was born February 10, 1991 in Rhinebeck, Dutchess County, New York and is an American actress, model, and singer. Roberts comes from a acting, high profile family as the daughter of actor Eric Roberts and niece of Julia Roberts. Roberts became known for her role as Addie Singer in the Nickelodeon television series 'Unfabulous.' She released her debut album, which also served as the show's soundtrack, “Unfabulous and More” in 2005 on Columbia Records/Nick Records. Roberts then pursued a solo singing career by recording two songs for the soundtracks of “Ice Princess” and “Aquamarine.”
Growing up in Hollywood, surrounded by actors and musicians in both her immediate and extended family, Roberts felt like show business came naturally to her. With a desire to act ever present from an early age and encouragement from her mother to play guitar, Roberts blossomed as both an actor and a singer. Roberts debut album peaked at #46 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart, and spawned two singles: "I Wanna Be" and "Dummy.” Roberts fans may see more of Roberts “the actress” as opposed to Roberts “the singer” in the near future as Roberts insists that her music career is on hold for now while she focuses on acting, but that her passion for singing and writing songs will always be there and that we can expect more music from her at a later date.
