Biography

Thomas Rhett (born Thomas Rhett Akins, Jr. March 30, 1990) is an American country music singer and the son of singer-songwriter Rhett Akins.

Rhett co-wrote the song “ Ain't Ready to Quit” on Jason Aldean's 2010 album “My Kinda Party” and signed a recording contract with Big Machine Records' Valory Music Group division in 2011. In early 2012, he released his debut single, “Something to Do with My Hands.” The tack reached #15 on the Billboard Country Songs chart and was featured on his 2012 EP, “Thomas Rhett.” A second single, “Beer with Jesus,” was also issued in 2012 and reached the Top 30 of the Country Songs chart.
