New York, NY, October 13, 2009 — MediaNet, the industry leading business-to-business provider of premium media delivery content to customers of all sizes, announced today that digital media sales veteran Dan Dougherty will join the company in the New York headquarters as Vice President, Business Development.
Dan will play an integral part in expanding MediaNet’s customer base as the Company recently announced two new significant product offerings including the MN Open API and Web Components. MediaNet’s products are now available for any web publisher from a small, niche blogger to a major international brand seeking ways to generate additional forms of revenue and keep users on their sites longer.
Alan McGlade, CEO of MediaNet stated: “Dan’s mission is to grow MediaNet’s customer base exponentially as our new products can enhance websites and application to engage users and add an additional revenue stream. With his long history in digital sales at major media companies, Dan has the relationships, strategic insight and vision to effectively expand MediaNet’s new product offerings.”
Dan is a 21-year media veteran. He spent the last 10 years in digital media sales in various roles including the head of sales for two digital music start-ups, SpiralFrog.com and SoundClick.com. He also served in executive sales roles at AOL, NBC Universal Digital Media, and spent 11 years in the radio industry serving in various sales and management positions with McGavren Guild Radio, AMFM Radio and Katz Media. Dan received his Bachelor of Science in Communications from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
